About Vela Global Mobility
Vela Global Mobility is an international mobility advisory and relocation coordination firm based in Nairobi, working with organisations and individuals navigating cross-border transitions across East Africa and internationally.
Where We Started
Vela Global Mobility emerged from hands-on work with clients navigating cross-border moves — for employment, relocation, and longer-term international plans. Over time, it became clear that international transitions are rarely just logistical. They affect people's work, families, education and long-term plans, often all at once.
Vela was formed to operate as a central point of coordination and advisory support, helping clients understand their options, risks and requirements before moving forward.
How we work
We take time to understand context before offering guidance. That means listening carefully, asking the right questions, and helping clients think through their options in a structured but practical way.

What We Do Today
That coordination now sits across two areas of work. We help organisations enter and operate across East Africa — company registration, immigration, local hiring and employee relocation across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda.
And we help investors, entrepreneurs and internationally minded families access residence and citizenship through qualifying investment programmes abroad.
In both cases, the role is the same: bringing together the specialists a client needs and giving them one clear point of coordination.
Navigating Change
Based in Nairobi, we work with organisations and individuals across East Africa navigating these moments of change. Some are relocating teams or expanding operations. Others are moving their families, pursuing opportunities abroad, or planning longer-term international lives.
In every case, the decisions involved carry real weight. Our role is to help bring clarity to those decisions.
